Intro to Parkway Class

Pastor Jeff will lead our next Intro to Parkway Class beginning the second Sunday in September and running through the first weekend in October. In this class, Pastor Jeff shares our history, doctrine, mission, vision, and how you can get connected. This class has proved to be one of the most enjoyable and meaningful experiences in the entire PHOP array of ministries. The classes run for four weeks from 6 to 7:30 each Sunday night. “Core Characteristics of a Christian”
Pastor Jeff has started a new series of sermons on the “Core Characteristics of a Christian.” Over the next couple of months we will be taking a deeper look at each characteristic. See the evaluation form here. Developing these characteristics will take a supernatural work of God in our hearts as well as the exercising of our will to obey God.

Parkway Christian Academy

Now is the time to get serious about who will teach your child and what they will be taught. At PCA, Christian men and women will lovingly nurture your child and instill in their minds a Biblical worldview. Christian education is costly but it is an investment in your child’s eternity. Baptism—August 1st

Pastor Jeff will be baptizing an individual from out of state at the conclusion of the 11 a.m. service on August 1st. If you would like to be baptized on this day, contact Linda in the church office for more details.

September is Family Month!

During this month we will focus every Sunday on the family. Pastor Jeff will soon be releasing the “family topics” he will be preaching on during September. Begin now to invite your family and friends to join you for this exciting month.

Family Retreat—September 16-18th

For those of you who love the camp experience, our next event on the mountain will be our Family Retreat, September 16-18th. This Thursday night through Saturday morning event is a time of fun and relaxation for our families. We are planning a very special event this year so you won’t want to miss it. Contact Linda in the church office to sign up.

Renewanation Update

Mark your calendar for Tuesday, November 9th for our annual Renewanation banquet. Currently our Renewanation team is working with PCA, Bent Mountain Christian Academy and Grace Academy to help fill seats for this fall. Please continue to pray daily for this God-sized vision. On Thursday night, July 29th, the Chick-Fil-A outside Valley View will be holding a fundraiser for Renewanation. Stop by Thursday night, the 29th, and help out the cause.

Softball Team Organizing for Fall
